XIII CB27 National Conference - Climate Change and Health - VITÓRIA

The Town of Vitória held the XIII National Conference of the
Forum of Secretaries of Environment of the Brazilian Capital Cities - CB27, on
March 25-27, 2018. Held in the capital city of the state of Espírito Santo, this edition explored the connections between climate change and health in the cities. Its objective was to present inputs and identify good practices in environmental management focused on climate change and health.
The meeting was attended guests such as Dr. Paulo Saldiva, a pathologist, researcher and director of the Institute of Advanced Studies at USP, who was the keynote speaker of the Cities and Climate Change Conference, as well as representatives of local governments invited to share their experiences, such as Pablo Maturana, Deputy Director of Partnerships and Cooperation of the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley; Mauro Haddad Nieri, Secretary of the Environment of Cubatão; and Laura Ceneviva, Executive Secretary of the Climate Change Committee of São Paulo.
They also participated in a networking event with the secretaries representing the following organizations: AdaptaClima, BYD, CDP, ITDP, Projeto Hospitais Saudáveis/Campanha Cidade sem Máscaras, UNIMED, and WRI.
