Regional Conference - Environmental Management - CAMPINAS

On July 10-12, Campinas hosted the Brazilian Forum on Environmental Management (Fórum Brasil de Gestão Ambiental, FBGA), at the Dom Pedro Expo, adjacent to the Parque Dom Pedro Mall.

The event promoted the dialogue between the public and private sectors, institutions and non-governmental organizations. The idea of the conference was to strengthen environmental management at the national level, in the process of collective construction, valuing the exchange of ideas in the face of the diversity of innovative and effective initiatives underway in the country.

The topics discussed included Strengthening and Funding of the National Environmental System (Sisnama), Challenges of Land Regularization, Perspectives of Basic Sanitation in Brazil, Management of Contaminated Areas, Use of Drones to Record Environmental Information, Nature Rights, and Public Policies in Cities. The topics were presented and debated with the interested population and technicians of the area.
