Capital Cities Profiles

This page presents a current overview of the Brazilian capital cities and their respective Departments of the Environment. The data and graphs here were put together by the CB27 Forum, which commissioned a survey of more than 50 indicators on topics such as the Sociodemographic Profile of the City and the Department, Budget, Climate Change, Urban Mobility, Solid Waste, Sanitation, and Green Areas, to name a few. The information was compiled from a collection of official data from sources such as the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBDE) and the National Sample Household Survey (PNAD), as well as by means of qualitative and quantitative research with the Departments of the Environment that are part of the CB27 Forum (second half of 2017).
